Mixfolio theme-home page posts problem

  1. Hi

    I have a couple of queries about my home page. I'm using the Mixfolio theme and have made a few minor changes to the scripting but can't figure out the following problem:

    The home page currently displays 10 posts, which looks odd, why has it pushed two of the posts to the next page. Is there a way where i can have just 9 or 12 posts per page to make it look more uniformed? The 8th (Cellcast) post looks like it's a different size to the others, could this be causing the problem?

    The blog is: charliebentley.com

    Thanks!

    The blog I need help with is charliebentley.com.

  2. I'm trying to work with mixfolio myself and I can't get my photos to show on my main page - just the black box saying featured image missing - can you tell me what I am missing?

    As to your question, I'm wondering about your settings - under Reading there is a box for 'blog pages show at most x posts" I don't know if this is your answer but perhaps if you set that to 12 ...?

  3. Thanks for the help, it was as simple as that and worked!

    As for the featured images. Go to edit a post. Select the 'upload/insert' add media button above the tool bar and upload the image you would like as the featured image. Then instead of clicking 'insert into post', click the button to the right 'use as featured image'. Then exit the media library. Scroll down the edit post page and on the right hand side it should show you your featured image. I hope this helps...

  4. Well then, we've helped each other - I have the photo on the main page now. Another question - the titles you have on your actual posts a lot smaller than what I'm getting ... how'd you do that? and do you know if it's possible to get the 'like' button to work on the individual posts?

  5. the titles you have on your actual posts a lot smaller than what I'm getting ... how'd you do that?

    The titles on bencharjake's site don't look bigger than yours, so you may have figured this out already. Note that bencharjake uses CSS like this to adjust the titles and hide the meta data:

    .entry-meta {
    	display:none;
    }

    .grid .entry-title {
    	color:#ff0078;
    	text-transform:uppercase;
    	font-size:15px;
    	max-height:10px;
    	margin:10px;
    	overflow:hidden;
    	padding:0 15px 50px 0;
    	border-bottom:none;
    }

    and do you know if it's possible to get the 'like' button to work on the individual posts?

    Yes, there is a setting on each post edit page with an option for "Show likes." If you open a post to edit and you can't find the option, click the "Screen Options" tab at the top right and make sure "Likes and Shares" is checked.

  6. i was wondering if anyone can help me with my blog/site. i do have the custom design CSS upgrade. i want to keep my posts, in the post grid, closer together. right now, it there is an emmense space between each row. my site is http://glassgallerylibrary.com/ , but the page with the post problem is http://glassgallerylibrary.com/category/manual-2012/ . I can't find in the code where I would make this change. Any help would be awesome!

    Thanks--

  7. This CSS that you added to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor page is causing the extra spacing:

    .columns {
    	margin-top: 180px
    }
