   Hi all,

   I'm not sure how to ask this.

   The thing is I have mapped a wordpress.com blog to show a custom website address to a domain that I own. It's an option offered by WordPress.com for approx 10$.

   Once the update with the new DNS nameservers was completed, I discovered that all my blog stats have dropped. When I point the mouse over the articles in the blog stats page I see that they are showing the same old address at wordpress.com, not the new custom one.

   Is wordpress.com showing stats for my old wordpress.com blog? Please believe me I am 101% sure that I have traffic on my blog, but this just disapperead from wordpress.com stats once I mapped it.

   Can anyone pls help enlighting me on this one?

   Please provide your blog address, else we won't be able to answer a lot of stuffs.

   I discovered that all my blog stats have dropped.

   All the old stats should be intact. Recently wordpress.com is going through some fixes which might create a problem in stats, read : http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-status?replies=2

   When I point the mouse over the articles in the blog stats page I see that they are showing the same old address at wordpress.com, not the new custom one.

   It shows the same in my dash board too, although my mapped domain is primary. Is this a bug ? or it is intended like this . I dont know .

   The if you have set the primary domain to your custom domain then the wordpress.com domain will make a 301 redirect will will let the search engines drop the old links from the search and your new links will start to appear as normal. read : http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/05/27/making-redirects-permanent/

   Thanks for your time, phoxis.

   The blog custom name is now sportsaga.ro . It used to be sportsaga.wordpress.com

   I am 101% sure that Blog Stats are showing me the views on the old wordpress.com links. I mean, come on, for certain posts, there are more comments than views!!!

   As I said, I'm basing my assumption on the fact that when I "mouse over" the posts titles in my Blog Stats page, the titles indicate links to sportsaga.wordpress.com posts not to sportsaga.ro posts (the newer link).

   How can I fix this?

   My solution is to forever quit checking WP crap Blog Stats and install a 3rd party views counter.

   I think you ought to ask Staff about this http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ As your blog is still being free hosted by wordpress.com I don't believe there ought to be any conversion problem caused by domain mapping. That being said since wordpress.COM went down I have been horrified to see the drop in my traffic stats.

   If you are looking for third party non-javascript stats programs I have reviewed the ones we can use on wordpress.com except for one which is go-stats. Some provide live real time visitor tracking and some don't. You will find the reviews here http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/tag/visitor-tracking/
