More Tag

  1. Hi,
is there a way to change the default more tag for a theme? I'm using the Bromley theme and I like the more tag to say "Continue reading" and be a link to the rest of the post instead of not being a link and look like this […]

    Thanks in advance
    Magnus Andersson

The blog I need help with is vcdx56.com.

  2. Hi Magnus, if you were inserting the more tag manually in most themes, you could modify the more tag text as explained here, but on the theme you are using, that is all set in the underlying theme PHP script files and we cannot edit those files.

  3. Hi,
thanks for getting back to me. I have tried to add e.g. <!--more Continue to read more here!-->
But that only creates a break but no link in the Bromley theme. Guess i need to look into another theme.
    regards
    Magnus

  4. Yes, I would suggest a different theme if you want a read more. There are a number of themes that do automatic excerpts on the main blog page and have a read more link. None come to mind right away, but there are some.
