More than one Links widget?

  1. Hello everyone! I want to know if it's possible to have more than one "Links" widget, I mean I already have one where I can put my blog buddies but I want to add another with sites I recommend people to visit, but I want it at the very end of the list because it's a little long and the other list is almost at the beginning, is there any way to do this?

    Thanks in advance!!
    Grace

The blog I need help with is panamapaperfolding.wordpress.com.

  2. Just put the same Links Widget where you want the 2nd one to go - change the name on it for a bit more class. I have two links section on my site - I don't remember any problem getting both to work.

  3. Yeah I tried that but there is only one widget for Links, not sure if it has something to do with the theme? I don't know..:( Help!

  4. I am using 2010 and I just looked at my Appearance >> Widgets and I have two Links Widgets in the Sidebar one right above the other and the Links Widget is still in the main section ready to drag and drop again.

Did you try adding the Links Widget a 2nd time by just dragging it over?

I see Blog Buddies and Blogroll - both of them I would think would be a Links Widget.

  5. Thanks so much for taking the time to help me! You know, that was the first thing that I tried to look for: a second widget, but there is nothing! I swear! My themes are Rounded and ChaoticSoul. Rounded is for my blog in spanish http://panamapaperfolding.wordpress.com/ and the only other Links widget I have is the "RSS Links" for both blogs. And yeah I saw your blog and that's exactly that I need!!

  6. I really think it has something to do with the theme, I tried this on that "2010" theme you mentioned you have and I do see the option for a second widget, but not with mine :( What a shame!!

  7. Yes you're right: ChaoticSoul and a couple of other themes have a different Links widget, which has no options and cannot be added more than once. For a separate links section you'll have to use a Text widget; you'll need coding for links and coding for lists - see here:

  8. OH GOD! Thank YOU so much!! I did it! It worked! :D Thank u thank u thank u!

  9. Amazing blog you got there btw!
