'Most Recent Articles' formatting issues.

  1. Hi, I'm self-taught on WordPress and have created my own blog. I've been pretty successful to date, but I'm still a noob. I'm having a very frustrating formatting issue on my homepage (under the Recent Articles section).

This is my blog - http://adriftabroad.com/

As you see under 'Most Recent Posts,' each article description has a formatting issue. The beginning of each article description is indented and the text is wrapping under my thumbnails. I want to align the content with the rest of the article text and clean it up a bit. How would I do this?

I've Googled the issue and inspected with firebug, but I cant figure it out!

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is adriftabroad.com.

  2. The blog you specified at adriftabroad.com does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

  4. I have a formatting question, related to wordpress.com, and it is that no paragraph breaks - spaces between - are appearing.
    my site is
    mgrinn.wordpress.com

at first it was documents pasted from word, and I learned it is related to hidden html in word that create problems. there were some solutions I didnt quite understand, one of which is to use Wordpad (I have a mac), and paste word to wordpad, then to the blog.

However, today, I posted a poem, and no line breaks remain after updating.

if there is any way to get very clear instructions on how to both paste from word and not lose formatting
    1
and how to actually simply write a post and retain formatting, with no punctuation requirements, etc. just so that what I type and how it is typed appear at the post.
    2

I have very little programming ability, and imagine I could do this in code, with
, etc - however, I would like something simpler, if it exists (I imagine there are easy ways to accomplish both - from word and direct to wordpress).

    thanks for any assistance

    Matt

  5. (sorry)-
I put the link break symbol br at the last paragraph, before that random comma.

would prefer to locate an easy solution for any posting, as I'd like the ability to just get material there with little hassle.

    I appreciate any help
