Move Facebook Button

  1. I am using the "Responsive" theme and I'm wondering if there is a way to move the facebook button from the bottom of the page to the top.

    The blog I need help with is purekaizen.com.

  2. Hello, this example CSS will move your Facebook button to top right of the page:

    #footer .facebook-icon {
    	position: absolute;
    	top: 40px;
    }
  3. Thanks hfzrhmn. I'm new to CSS...where do I input this code to move the button? Is there something I have to do in addition to make the button link to my facebook page?

  4. The social icons links are set at Appearance > Customize > Social Links and I see you have your facebook link in there.

    For the CSS @hfzrhmn gave, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all of the informational text and paste in the code. You can use the live preview to see the change. When satisfied, click the save button at lower right and the code will be applied.

  5. Thanks to both of you! That did move the button, however it moved it all the way to the top. I was looking to have it where the "top" widget would normally show up, which is directly above my navigation menu on the right-hand side. Is there any way to move it to this position? Thanks in advance!

  6. Hi, because the Responsive theme does not have a overall container that wraps all the page content, this is a little difficult to do give the theme is a responsive design and adjusts for all browser widths and screen sizes all the way down to smart phones. Change the code to the following and see what you think.

    #footer .facebook-icon {
        position: absolute;
        top: 350px;
        right: 20px;
    }
