Move from wordpress.org to wordpress.com - problem with attachments

    I moved my blog from a hosted WordPress.org to WordPress.com yesterday. I click on the "download attachment" button and got confirmation that all my attachments were downloaded to my WordPress.com blog. However, when I checked my blog today, the attachments are not there. Any idea how to fix this?

    The blog I need help with is rosecantine.com.

    Hello there,
    Do you still have the wordpress.com blog with the contents intact in it? I hope so because that may be key to solving your problem. In any event you will require Staff help so here's the contact link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

    The wordpress.com blog is up and running. That is what I just set up and that is the one that is missing the attachments.

    I have done a full backup of the original WordPress.org self-hosted blog.

    What I do not understand is why I got a message saying that all the attachments have been downloaded from the WordPress.org self-hosted blog to the WordPress.com blog, when in fact they have not!

    OOPS! I'm sorry I had the in reverse. :( I don't have an answer and I suspect that only Staff can help you so that why I gave you the contact link.

    Don't worry. I sent the Staff an email. When I get a solution to this problem, I will post it on this forum so that others can learn.
