Move tags and date

    Hello - I really love my theme for my wordpress blog, however, I would love to have more space for my photos and posts on the left hand side. is there any way to move the tags to the bottom of the post? and have my post spread farther to the left? I realize this may just be the way the theme is and cannot be changed but thought i'd ask just in case.

    thanks,

    The blog I need help with is dosesofdesign.com.

  2. Although this can be done, with a responsive designed theme, it doesn't work as cleanly as on fixed width themes since length of the tags (number of tags) can vary greatly from post to post, and using position absolute takes the tags and floats them over the top of the other content so the design will not flow and shift as the browser window is narrowed, or when viewed on smaller devices.

    One short aside, it is best to not use too many tags on each post (10-12 maximum) as it can mean you are excluded from the WordPress.com tags pages and could cause some concern with the search engines.

    My first suggestion would be to hide the tags. The Search engines would still be able to see them, but they would not be visible on the site, and would allow the content area to be increased in width. To hide the tags and widen the content area, add the following CSS at Appearance > Customize > CSS.

    .post-extras {
    display: none;
    }

    .post-entry {
    width: 90%;
    }

    If you want to try moving them down below the content, add the following. Make sure and narrow your browser window way down to see the affect, and on smartphones and small tablets, the tags are going to overlay the bottom of the sharing stuff at the bottom of your posts.

    .post-content {
        position: relative;
    }

    .post-extras {
        bottom: 0;
        position: absolute;
        padding: 0;
        width: 90%;
        right: 0;
    }

    .post-entry {
        padding-bottom: 100px;
    width: 89%;
    }

    .post-extras p, .post-extras p strong {
        text-align: left;
        float: left;
    }
