Moving a .com blog to self-hosted

  1. Hi there,

I purchased a wordpress.com domain a few months ago. I now want to move my blog to self-hosted server. I want to try 000webhost, with their free hosting service. I'm just wondering if it's possible to do this, and keep my domain name at the same time?

Just trying to iron out any creases before I go ahead, as this is a school blog and thus am anxious to have any major issues. Also, should I run into problems, it it possible to move back to a wordpress-hosted blog, still with the same domain name again?

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is crawfordecho.com.

  2. Yes, you can point your domain name at the new host.

Do be aware that you get what you pay for on hosting.
