How do I move a new post (intended for a new page I created) off the Home page? When I post a add new post, intended for another page, it still winds ups there. Help.

you're supposed to edit the page you created rather than add a new post. have you read the faq?

The default is to display your 10 most recent Posts on your home page. You can change this at Dashboard -> Options -> Reading -> Show at most.

You can copy the material from the post into your new page where you intended for it to go, then delete the post.

I believe Dana is thinking of pages that show the list of Posts instead of actual Pages like you're thinking of.
