Yes, just change themes and then you'll need to do some rearranging of media on the portfolio pages. It's about a day of tinkering if you want it to look really good.

It looks like it is not a new kind of template; just existing templates that can be used as artist portfolios. A search of 'portfolio' on the themes page brings up the likely candidates, and as raincoaster says, you would need to change themes and readjust the images.
