Moving followers to the new blog (and stats updates pls)

  1. I have just moved my blog and want to ask you to move my followers for me as well as my Stats, because right now they are showing up as 0.

    thank you

The blog I need help with is luchessa.org.

  2. What is the .wordpress.com URL? Is it http://luchessa.wordpress.com/ ?
Provided you install the Jetpack plugin and activate it, Staff can do this for you. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  3. Yes the wordpress.com URL is correct.
    Jetpack is already activated.
I'm subscribed to this topic - waiting for notification. Thank you.

  4. You're welcome. :)

  5. I have transferred your WordPress.com subscribers and email followers as requested.

Please note it may take up to a day for the stats to accurately reflect the follower transfer.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

  6. Happiness Engineer (oh what a cool job!) - thank you very much.
I can already see my followers & hopefully the stats will show up tomorrow accurately as well. :)

  7. You're welcome! Let me know if I can help with anything else.

And yes, it's a very cool job. :)

  8. Well i'm not sure, but i think my stats still do not show properly...

  9. I show that your followers - both on WordPress.com and via email - have transferred properly: https://wordpress.com/#!/my-stats/?blog=53701205&blog_subscribers&type=wpcom&unit=1

Are you not seeing those numbers (461 WordPress.com, 205 email)? If not, please let me know and I'll look into it further.

  10. Oh i see that. I guess i thought my visitors statistic would be transfered as well, but i guess it starts from zero on the new blog.

  11. Your WordPress.com site and your new self-hosted site use two different blog IDs in your account, which is how we're able to transfer your followers.

Since stats work on a time/date and per-post basis in addition to having an unique blog ID, it's not as simple as a follower transfer. We are able to merge your stats from your old WordPress.com site to your new site upon request, but the transfer will only work if you exported your WordPress.com site in its entirety to your new site, otherwise we're not able to perform the merge. Also, we can't undo a merge after the fact so you need to be sure you want this to be done.

If your new site is a full export of your old site and you confirm you want your stats merged, I would be happy to take care of this for you.

    I hope that clarifies things!
