Moving from WordPress.com to Godaddy

Hi, I have created a site at horsesfirstracing.wordpress.com - I want to move it to godaddy. I have the domain with Godaddy already and have purchased Godaddy hosting, and installed their wordpress app. I am now at a loss of what to do next, the support they have given is very technical and refers to procedures which do not seem to be available at wordpress.com such as exporting a MySQL file...
Do I have to move to wordpress.org first so I can do this?

I was banking on a guided transfer but this is not available for the next ten days or so, so any guidance is appreciated. I am not a developer (obviously!) and thought this was going to be a lot easier...

    Many thanks.

The blog I need help with is horsesfirstracing.wordpress.com.

  2. Meh, they're not being very clear about how to import. On the WP.com blog go to the dashboard Tools page and click Export. On the WP.org ie the Godaddy blog, go to the Tools page and click Import. See that everything is there and looks complete, then set the WP.com blog to private or buy a Redirect upgrade so everyone looking for the old blog automatically ends up on the new blog. It's really not that hard.

Note that if your blog is big, you may need to break up the export file intochunks.
