Moving my subscribers from WordPress.com to WordPress.org

    Hi,

I recently moved my WordPress.com blog to WordPress.org, but I did not seem to move the subscribers. I would like to ensure that when I post an entry on WordPress.org that the subscribers I had at WordPress.com also get it.

Can someone help me move my subscribers from my WordPress. com blog to my WordPress.org blog?

    WordPress.com blog is mymyselfandkids.wordpress.com
    Wordpress.org is larrydbernstein.com

    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is memyselfandkids.wordpress.com.

  2. The e-mail subscribers have been moved as requested.

    Kardotim--
    Wait! I ahve a question.
On my WordPress.com site I had 358 followers.
Now I see on my WordPress.org site, I have 29 subscribers.

Are followers the same as subscribers?
If so, what happened to the other 329 people??
How did 358 translate into 29 people??

    Thank you,
    Larry

    Hi,

You closed the other forum, http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/did-i-just-lose-329-followers-in-the-transfer-from-wpcom-to-wporg?replies=4#post-1126746.

I would just like to know where all my followers went. In the other forum, I was told the followers are still there, but according to my dashboard, I jut have 1 follower.

Are they gone? Were they taken off in the transfer of subscribers?

    Thank you!

    Kardotim,
    Any news?
Would like to know if my post to my WordPress.com site will be seen by my old followers. I told them I am moving to WordPress.org.

    Thanks.

    Kardotim-
Thanks but this wasn't my question.
I know the subscribers have been moved. I was asking about the _followers_. I had 329 followers. Now I have 2. Where did they go??

    Thanks.

  10. Only email subscribers can be transferred. Followers using the WordPress.com Reader cannot be transferred. There is no WordPress.ORG reader to transfer them to. WordPress.ORG installs are stand alone islands. There is no community and shared features there like we have here at WordPress.com.

  11. P.S. What I would do is publish a post on the .wordpress.com blog asking followers using the Reader to subscribe to your new WordPress.org site.

  12. @timethief we can now transfer all subscribers, not only e-mail subscribers.

@memyselfandkids I see about 300 subscribers on your blog now. Could you please check again or reconnect Jetpack? otherwise try to clear your browser cache
