Moving social icons in Debut theme

    I'm using the Debut theme on my website. It's great, but there's one small change I need to make - moving the social icons provided by the theme to the top of the page.

    Here's the normal position of the social icons, and it would be great if they could be moved near the top of the page.

    Is there a way to do this?

    The blog I need help with is pyrodactyl.com.

  2. I'm sorry but Debut is a premium theme and we Volunteers answering questions on this forum have no knowledge of how they are designed to operate. When you purchased your premium theme what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer in the Premium Theme Support Forum. There is a link for the specific Premium Theme support forum under Appearance -> Themes in your blog’s Dashboard

    Oops, I'm really sorry. I didn't know there was a separate forum.

  4. Not to worry. WordPress.com Staff will also help you as they provide support for CSS editing. Best wishes with your blog. :)

  5. Premium themes are actually supported by the theme authors. General CSS help is done here though. A lot of times, we can help with basic CSS questions here, but sometimes we may send you to the premium theme forum depending on how involved your question is and how it relates to the theme. :)

    Here's one way of moving the network block of HTML from the footer to the top of the site in the Debut theme. Note that this only works well if the height of the entire page remains constant, which looks like it may work in your case.

    #footer {
    overflow: visible;
    }
    #networking {
    position: absolute;
    top: -1344px;
    right: 0;
    }

    The CSS is successful in moving the images to the top, but the buttons themselves aren't clickable anymore. Strange.

  7. Ohhh, I didn't check that! Also, what browser are you using please?

    Firefox 10.

  9. Maybe that doesn't matter. Try this. I added a z-index:

    #footer {
    overflow: visible;
    }
    #networking {
    position: absolute;
    top: -1344px;
    right: 0;
    z-index: 999;
    }

    Added note: I guess the top value needs to be different for each page, because the social icons sometimes appear in the body of the text in other pages.

    I've posted in the theme's forum, I hope there's a more permanent solution there. Many thanks for the help again :)

  13. Cool. Looking forward to see what comes of the other post!
