When I move wisdomandlife.wordpress.com to self hosting today, (I own my domain:
cjpwisdomandlife.com) will I also lose all of my WordPress followers? I have email followers as well as people who clicked my follow button. If I won't lose them, how do I recover them once my site is up and running?
The blog I need help with is cjpwisdomandlife.com.
I'll flag this thread so that after you install the Jetpack plugin staff can transfer your followers. You need to do that first.

Staff can can move your followers. What's required is:
installation and activation of the JetPack plugin on your self hosted install;
posting both URLs (.wordpress.com blog URL and domain URL) into this forum thread;
tagging the thread with modlook in the sidebar;
subscribing to the thread so you are notified when Staff make the transfer.

I havent set up cjpwisdomandlife yet. Still putting finishing touches on the blog, @macmanx. Once I can go in and play I will set up Jetpack then will come back here and let you know when I'm ready.

Stats cannot be transferred, and the followers have been transferred, but the total follower count can take a few hours to update.
