I know this is an encoding problem (that's what the Odeo forum says) but I have no idea what to do about it. Some of my MP3s are older and have different encoding (apparently) and when I try to play them using the Odeo podcast or the new WordPress audio player, they're sped up. Believe me, this is amusing for Stairway to Gilligan's Island, but it gets real old when you're trying to post Vincent Price reading Edgar Allan Poe.
Does anyone know a workaround? If you download the files they play just fine on the desktop. Can the Flash player be improved so it can handle these, or should I just delete them and forget I ever wanted to post them?
Here's an example:
