Hi,
I have recently set up a blog and I'm looking to add a link to each photo within my header, but remain thoroughly uncertain how to go about doing so.
Any help or advice on how to resolve this issue would be much appreciated.

Looks like you figured out how to add an image map by adding it to the top of pages using the HTML editor.
You could probably also make it work by adding the same HTML to a widget instead and then repositioning the widget using CSS. If you want to give that a try, save the widget with the HTML for your image map and post back here.
