Hello Bloggers!
I've been using wordpress for years now, but I want to try out something more complicated then my usual blogging. The answers to some of my questions probably are scattered one the web somewhere, but because of lack of time, I thought I might find someone here who knows the answers.
So...
I would like to create a wordpress based birding website. Much like birding.hu, where birders can share their bird lists, observations etc.
Is it possible to transform a wordpress blog somehow to resemble a tipical database site? Is it possible to add multiple users to a blog with limited access? I mean, a user can modify only one page (his page) on a blog, but can't change the rest?
Also, we would like to lots of tables, with ringing data, and we would like to limit the access to these tables. Searching in the tables should be easy. Is this possible on wordpress?
Can I/we add checklists on a page? Birders love checklists, to brag with the number of birds seen etc. How can I add this to a page? Also, can I set up these pages, so only one of many users can modify it?
Can we make it somehow that the front page works and resembles this kind of pages: http://birding.hu/index.php?&Lang=en ?
Best wishes,
Attila Marton
The blog I need help with is ringingromania.wordpress.com.
