I am new and my goal is to load music that myself and 2 others play for weddings, dinner parties, and other events. The intention is to be hired to play at these events. Can I upload our music onto a WP blog and have the content be about what we are doing? If so, how would I upload from a CD that we put together? Thank you for your time.

Hi. To upload audio files to WordPress.COM, you need to purchase a space upgrade. Otherwise, you can host audio files elsewhere and link to them from your blog. The following two links should help you get started:

As you are an original artist, you'll even be allowed to sell CDs and other merchandise from your blog. This is something that only creators are allowed to do: sales of things other people have made, like import businesses selling earrings, etc, are against the terms of service.

I did what airodyssey stated on the reply above, but I was not given a choice of selecting "None" instead of "File URL" or "Post URL" in which, then, I was not able to "insert into post." What happened was that I uploaded a couple of songs from my Itunes file (it only allows me to upload one song at a time and not a whole album at a time). After it or they uploaded that was it. It did display a "show" link to put in a title and such, but I do not see a way to get these songs onto a page. I want them on the "Repertoire" page for now on the blog. So how do I get the songs once they are uploaded from the "media" to a page on my blog where they can be played? And how do I get the play arrow icon to show? Thank you in advance for your help.
You need to use the audio player, just like airodyssey says. Like [audio=URLoftheFile]
I did as airodyssey said. I did step 2 from the link airodyssey provided:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/ and so where is the audio player? I encountered the problem I stated above. So what am I not doing or seeing?
When you say doing step 2, do you mean you actually bought the space upgrade?
