I just noticed this - can't find the "About" link anywhere on my blog yet I'm sure it has been there in the past. The Page set up for "About" appears in my Pages menu with the content I want. Is this a theme problem?

As the very old theme you are using does not have horizontal menu place your Pages widget in the sidebar to gain access to your pages. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/pages-widget/
