My blog & Internet Explorer help

    My website looks proportional in every other site except for Internet Explorer. I use the elegant grunge theme and I have the two widget sidebar layout on quite a few of my pages. I have pictures and other widgets in those sidebars and IE distorts the images and stretches them out, which pushes my widget content further down on my page than it would appear on other web browsers such as firefox or safari. The major problem I'm having now is that when using IE, the image in my sidebar the furthest to the right of the page stretches out so much so that it is causing some text to spill over into my facebook like box.

    Is there any way this can be fixed so that my images dont stretch out disproportionately and the words don't spill over into my facebook widget?

    Thanks for listening,

    The blog I need help with is relandothompkins.com.

    The image is too large, and the theme automatically scales it down to the maximum that fits in your sidebar, but IE won't understand this (like it won't many other things).

    Try a text widget instead, with this code:
    <img style="width:169px;" src="IMAGE URL HERE" alt="DESCRIPTIVE TEXT HERE" />

    But images scaled down by WP lose some color and sharpness - see here:

    So, for best quality and no issues with IE you should downsize copies of your images to the right pixel width in an image editing application, and upload and insert those copies. Reference posts:
