My blog text is vertical and I can't fix it.

    My blog has been working well until just today, as I discovered when I was going to post something new. Suddenly all of my sidebars have become skinny and vertical. I have removed all of them. My titles, however, are still vertical and extend straight down into my posts. I’m not sure if I need a different theme; perhaps a bug developed. I’m using customized On a Whim. The blog is http://halflingsandmonsters.wordpress.com. I’m very new at this and now I’m terribly frustrated. If I need to buy a different theme, I would. Can I transfer to Elegant Themes? Or will On a Whim eventually work again? Perhaps there is an easy fix…?

    Hi Astrid,

    Can you check again and let me know if things still look amiss. We had a small bug that impacted a few themes, On a Whim included, but has since been fixed.

    Hi Brandon—my blog seems to 99% back to normal, thank you very much. I was going to publish a post, but it kept telling me to refresh with LinkedIn. Then I couldn’t do that, yet it does post there. Now if only I could get my book uploaded on the Kindle…

    We are seeing a few accounts with issues on LinkedIn at the moment. We’re working on the root issue and hope to resolve it soon.

    I wish I could help with the Kindle upload. Sounds like something we’d like to check out at La Casa de Kraft :-).

    There were just a couple minor things I noticed—on my gravatar profile, the website still looks like vertical strings. Maybe that will work itself out over a bit of time. On the gravatar, I used to have 10 followers, but now I have 0. You know how it is when you are a new blogger—any follower is a positive thing and you hate to lose any!

    Of course! The “snapshot” of the site will be refreshed—typically every day or so. It looks good to me again, so we’re all set there.

    I’m seeing 10 followers too, so if it’s okay with you, I’m going to chalk it up to a temporary issue. If it happens again, please let me know and we can dive in to figure out what’s up.

    Thanks, everything looks better. Next time I’ll know to throw all my widgets over to the side for safe-keeping, though it forced me to reorganize everything. Now, back to the Kindle fiasco…I’ll probably postpone my viewing of the Hobbit for a few days…
