My entire blog has been deleted.

  1. At some point in the last couple of weeks all of my internet accounts (Facebook, Hotmail and WordPress) were hacked. This is my fault for not keeping up sufficient security. The entirety of all three of my blogs (allallt.wordpress.com; allalltor.wordpress.com; allalltirl.wordpress.com) has been deleted.

Is there anyway of restoring these? I do not have copies of most of these on my new laptop.
    Blog url: http://allalltor.wordpress.com/

  2. If you are refering to posts being deleted and not blogs (your blog is certainly still there) then you may be able to find the posts in Trash. Dashboard>Posts>All Posts and look in the Trash folder and from there you can bulk restore them.

  3. I did mean the posts (and pages), not the blogs. And they're not in the trash either. To be honest, I know this is a long shot, but it would be nice if there was a way to restore them.

  4. If they are not in Trash then the only way to restore them is to copy and paste them from the search engines. You could tag this for staff (add 'modlook' in the tag on the right of this thread) to see if there is any way to restore them, but it's doubtful as once they are gone from trash they cannot usually be restored. Make sure you change all your passwords on your blogs!!

  5. Deleted blogs and posts cannot be restored. Please consider setting up a new blog.

If you want to make your blog more secure:
    * Please go to your wordpress.com profile page and update your password.
    * Please use a secure password with letters and numbers and other characters.
    * Please do NOT use the same password that you use for email.
    * Please update all of your email passwords to something more secure.

Please read this warning from the support site:
"Warning: Please be very careful when adding a new Administrator user to your blog. Other Administrators are effectively co-owners. They have as much power over your blog as you do, including the ability to permanently delete it, and the power to remove you from your own blog."
    http://support.wordpress.com/adding-users/

If an Administrator deletes a blog, it is NOT hacking.

Please only give users the MINIMUM rights needed to write on your blog such as Contributor or Author. If you give other users Administrator rights, then that means they will have full control of the blog and they can delete it without hacking. If you give other users Editor rights, then they can delete any posts from the blog without hacking. Authors can only edit and delete their own posts.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

  6. I suspected I might not be able to get it back. That's a shame, but live and learn I suppose.
