I like writing but I find humor to be a tricky subject. I do laugh at my own jokes. It is such a release (and an escape) to giggle your heart out... Unfortunately as a writer you need to know when too far is too far. One joke might be rude for one audience, or downright boring for another. Either you make fun of yourself or somebody else who might not be so detached about it. You are treading on egg shells.
If you don't laugh I guess you won't bother to comment either...
