my post disappeared after pushing the publish button.

  1. My post disappeared after I pushed the publish button. I can't find it nor do I understand why that happened.

The blog I need help with is lovethechefblog.wordpress.com.

  2. Hi there Lovethechef,

As raincoaster indicates, we've had some issues with this. I'm so sorry you experienced this as well.

I have some questions for you, if you don't mind (we are working on fixing the bug, and as much information as you can provide will be tremendously helpful in us squashing this)

*About how long did it take you to write the post?

*Where on WordPress did you compose the post? The New Post page, from the Dashboard page, from the admin bar at the top of the screen, or from Newdash (global screen with tabs across the top that include Stats and Reader as well as New Post and others)?

    *What browser were you using?

*Did you have any other windows open while writing, and did you navigate away from the page while writing at all?

Again, I'm so sorry. It appears that these vanished posts are gone for good. I know how frustrating that can be.

In the meantime, create your posts in Dashboard > Posts > New Post for the time being.

    Thank you.

  3. *About how long did it take you to write the post?
    1 hour
*Where on WordPress did you compose the post?
New Post from the W in the upper left corner

The New Post page, from the Dashboard page, from the admin bar at the top of the screen, or from Newdash (global screen with tabs across the top that include Stats and Reader as well as New Post and others)?

    *What browser were you using?
    Google Chrome

*Did you have any other windows open while writing, and did you navigate away from the page while writing at all? Yes to get pictures. Not sure if anything was open.

    Thank you for your help.

  4. Thank you so much for this information.

    Again, I'm very sorry.

  5. We believe we've traced down this bug and fixed it. If you do lose a post again, please let us know. We're truly sorry for the inconvenience!
