My posts don't show up in the Reader

  1. Good evening!
Sorry to bother, but some of my followers notified me that lately my posts haven't shown up in the feed Reader. I subscribed my blog and in fact I can see everyone's posts but mine.
What's the problem? I have less than 15 categories and tags for each post (max is 13 total). Is it too much?
Please, could you check to see what's wrong?
    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is tokyohell.wordpress.com.

  2. We cannot even confirm what you report as you do not have your blog linked to your username and you failed to provide the URL of your blog starting with http:// Please post the URL now.

  3. Sorry timethief, my mistake!
    My url is: http://tokyohell.wordpress.com/
    Thank you.

  4. Thanks for posting the URL. Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

NOTE: I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  5. Thank you! I've already subscribed.

About the Forum profile, I did everything you wrote:

Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.

The url http://tokyohell.wordpress.com/ was already written in the "Primary Blog" AND in the "Website" sections, yet it seems my blog isn't linked to my username. :/

  6. Not to worry. Staff will assist you with both issues.

  7. Thanks a lot. :)
I'll just wait for the staff reply.

  8. Hi there!

Your posts aren't showing up in the Reader because your site was flagged for having mature content. Upon further investigation, it had been flagged because of an image link you had in a post. It was a photo you pulled in from fanpop.com - it registered as suspicious by the system (because of the nature of fanpop.com).

I cleared the flag for you after checking out your site a bit more and you should start showing up in the Reader now!

    Happy blogging!

  9. Csonnek, thank you so much! My site is definitely NOT mature, never been. I'll be more careful with image links from now on.

So far no changes, but maybe it's too soon for the feed to update. I'll check again tomorrow and see if my posts have appeared in the Reader. Hopefully the new posts will show up!
    Thanks again. :)

  10. Glad I could help!

  11. Hello,
sorry to bother you again, but my problem isn't solved yet.
It's been one day and my old posts never showed up in the feed reader. About 10 minutes ago I've published this post: http://tokyohell.wordpress.com/2013/03/24/luomo-che-accarezzava-le-bambole/
    It still hasn't shown up.
This NEVER happened before: months ago, my posts showed up in the wp reader the very second I published them.
Some of my followers are not receiving my updates, and I won't write anything else until I'm sure the problem is solved!

  12. Hi again!

Yeah, I just test followed your site and it's not showing up for me either. I'll need to look into it further and see why it's not showing up. I'll let you know once I have more information.

    Thanks for your patience! :)

  13. Thank you, csonnek!
It's been 2 days and all of my followers are telling me that my posts don't show up. I have no idea what the problem could be, but I really hope you'll be able to fix it.
    Have a nice day. :)

  14. I just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you - we're still working on why your site isn't appearing in the Reader.

    Thanks for your patience! :)

  15. Ok, no problem... I'll wait. :)
Just let me know when you manage to understand what the issue could be, and if you need me to do/check/try something.

  16. Hey there! Firs of all, Happy Easter everyone! :)
Did you discover anything about the issue?

  17. Happy Easter to you (a bit late) too!

I'm sorry I don't have more information right now, but I am still working on it! The typical fixes aren't resolving the issue, so we need to look deeper, which takes time.

Thanks for being patient with us!

  18. Hi there!

Great news! I was able to narrow down what was causing your feed to not display in the Reader. There were a couple of invalid hidden characters in your feed that were breaking your RSS feed and creating errors. Those errors were keeping your feed from showing up the Reader as it will ignore an invalid RSS feed.

You should be set! Let me know if you still have trouble.

  19. Hello!
Thank you so much for your time and efforts. ^_^
Unfortunately my Reader page is acting weird: I can see all of my followed blog posts until 5 days ago... then it skips to 1 month ago. So right now I can't verify if my posts have shown up.
Later I'm gonna publish something, to check if my posts appear in the feed reader. I'll let you know soon!

  20. It worked! I'm so happy! :D
I published a post 10 minutes ago and it showed up immediately in the Reader. Thank you so much, csonnek! You've been a great help.

  21. I'm glad we were able to finally figure it out for you! :)

    Happy Blogging!

  22. Hi,
I'm having the same problem. My readers are telling me that my posts aren't showing up in the reader. Could you help me? Thanks

  24. @missfoureyes - could you please start a new thread to describe your issue in detail, and add the word modlook in the Tags section in the right column so Staff will respond.
