What happened? I have been writing for over a year with no problem. Composed my copy in Word, copied it over and pasted in WordPress. Now it looks horrible. It adds spaced, changes fonts, undoes work that I have done? Can anyone tell we what the heck happened and how I can fix it.

Copy and pasting from Word is a problem. You should clean up the code by using clean up code icon or using the paste from Word function. See here http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/
