My published post disappeared

    I published a post this morning...and received 10 likes and several comments.

    This afternoon I checked my stats and discovered the post had disappeared from my site (although the title inexplicably is still there!)

    When I click on the title on my homepage I get a window that says:
    "This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?
    It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching, or one of the links below, can help."

    I republished my post (after re-writing it)--but the annoying part is I cannot retrieve my comments, likes together with the original post.
    I also can't delete it (the post is listed in my posts admin page but I can't check it or highlight it in order to delete it!)

    I rewrote my post and republished it...here's the URL:

    The post right before it chronologically is the one that's disappeared.

    Any ideas what's going on...or how I can delete that title or better yet retrieve my original post (with the likes and comments)?

    I'm having the same problem. This suddenly happened with 4 of the posts I made in the last couple of weeks. Please fix!

    I've lost a post too! Published it last night after spending ages working on it, it was there this morning and now it's gone :-( What's going on?!

    I flagged this thread for Staff support.

    Please provide titles of the missing posts.

    My post is back (thank goodness)...and so are the likes and comments.
    Seems to have been a problem on the WP end...not on my end.

    Whatever was going on has been repaired (for now).

    I haven't seen anything like this in three years and over 225 postings.
    I would be interested to know what happened.

    The title of the missing (and later restored) post is "Atlantic Avenue Beach Hut".

    Weird, same here, first my last post disappeared and went black in dashboard, after 10 minutes came back, but now the one before goes thru the same...

    Me too... I had two posts had disappeared this morning. They were both there last night and had likes etc on them. Any explanation?

    On the contrary, it seems reporting got this resolved for several of us.

    I don't know if that's the case or not. The reason I say that is because I did flag the threads but Staff did not respond in the threads I flagged.

    Same problem here.Two of my posts from a few weeks ago have gone missing.If I click on the link I get an Error 404.

    Apparently there's some kind of server issue or web glitch or maintenance or something else going on. They go away, then come back

    Patience seems to be the key.

    I've also lost a post - published today and called Pink sea, grey sea

    - I can neither see it properly nor delete it. It appeared properly at first, but has been gone for some time now. Help please??

    Yes, that was the one and it is back now. Thanks - unsettling when things randomly come and go, like having your clothes held together with safety pins...

    please fix this ASAP!

    first time this happens to me at WordPress - don't want it to happen again.
