My second blog is not feeding through to my website

  1. Hi,

I have just written and published my second blog and it is not appearing on my website - the RSS feed is not linking for multiple feeds. It is only showing my first feed.
Go daddy (my website builder company) can find no problem their end. My first blog fed through with no problem.
My blog site with word press shows my latest blog as published.
    Please can you advise.
    Thank you
    Karen Upcraft

The blog I need help with is thewbkc.wordpress.com.

  2. Your feed for posts is http://thewbkc.wordpress.com/feed/ and it's valid and operational. Provided your website can draw from a feed then that's all you need.

If it is not so equipped we do not provide support for any sites except WordPress.COM hosted blogs. In that case if you don't have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  3. Hey Karen,

I'm not quite understanding the problem you're having. Can you explain a bit on what you mean by the RSS feed not linking for multiple feeds? Also, what is the URL of the website you need help with? Thank you!

  4. Hi,

My problem is that my blog is not feeding through to my website: www. winchesterbookkeeping.co.uk
My first blog written a month ago went through no problem. I have spent several phonecalls with Go Daddy to work out what the problem is but they are saying that the problem is with wordpress and that there are many others with wordpress blog having the same problem. Please can you help?
    Thank you

  5. Thanks for the clarification! So from what I understand, you would like your domain "winchesterbookkeeping.co.uk" to point to your WordPress.com blog. Is that correct?

To make that possible, I would give Godaddy another call and ask for your domain's name servers to be changed to:

    ns1.wordpress.com
    ns2.wordpress.com
    ns3.wordpress.com

Or if you would like to do it yourself, please refer to this support page on Godaddy.

Then, I would purchase a domain mapping upgrade. This allows you to connect the domain to your blog. To get started, click on Store -> My Domains in your blog dashboard:

    https://thewbkc.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

And click on "Map a Domain You Already Own". On the following page, enter the domain "winchesterbookkeeping.co.uk" in the URL field and click "Go". Please proceed with the succeeding prompts to complete the purchase.

For full instructions on domain mapping, please see our support page:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain

Let me know if you get lost along the way and need any further assistance. Thank you and best of luck!

I am experiencing the exact same problem. I post on my wordpress blog frequently and it RSS feeds to my website http://www.bestyourself.ca
The first 17 posts were immediately updated to my website through the RSS feed.
My July 16th post went through fine.
    July 27th didn't show up
    July 31st isn't showing up

I tried resetting the RSS feed address on the website. That didn't work.
I don't want to do a map or have my website point to my wordpress blog. I would like my RSS feed to update and work as it should.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  7. @karenupcraft and @bestyourselfca:

Thanks, I've completely misunderstood the problem. My apologies.

The problem may stem from the fact that your blog feeds are being cached on Godaddy's end, causing your blog modules not to update as soon as you'd like. Our feeds are updated almost instantly after you publish a new blog post, so you might want to ask Godaddy about this caching issue and perhaps they can look further into it. Let me know what you find out. Thanks!
