I have followed all of the suggestions according to the help/support. I can't access my site through the search engine. I have to go to wordpress.com and sign in. What do I need to do to fix my site so that other people will be able to locate/view it?

The blog I need help with is bakerfamilyministry.wordpress.com.

  2. You have only 2 posts, and it looks like your site is barely 1 day old. It can take, at times, 6-8 weeks (although typically only a week or two) for the search engines to fully index your site and get it figured out where to put your stuff. It simply doesn't happen in just a few days. Be patient, keep posting regularly and you will get there.

Also realize that you are competing with millions and millions of sites and you have to build up page rank in order to start showing up higher in searches, and that simply takes time. You are probably looking at 6-9 months before you move up higher in the search results.

Keep blogging and make sure you have good, original content.

  3. One does not access their blog through a search engine. They log-in directly to their blog. This is your login link http://bakermailbox.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  4. It can take weeks for search engines to index your blog. It's publishing posts, not pages that attracts search engine attention.

The process we use for verifying free hosted WordPress.com blogs with search engines is found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

Note: Even if you do not verify the blog the content will be indexed by search engines so don't feel panicky about this please.

WordPress.com provides the search engines with site maps. We bloggers do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/
