My very first theme

  1. Hi!

As some of you may know, one of the things I like is to watch cartoons and Japanese anime. Well, I registered another blog to write about the shows I like and stuff.

For weeks I've been working on a theme for this blog and I think is ready to go live. But before that, I'd like to share it with you guys first. If you care to see it, the URL is: http://rayout.wordpress.com/

You'll see a couple of videos and dummy text (the dummy text I'll clean up later). The theme has been tested in the following browsers:

    Linux:
    Firefox 1.5
    Konqueror 3.5.2

    Mac:
    Camino 1.0.3
    Firefox 2
    Opera 9.01
    Safari 2.04
    Shiira 1.2.2

    Windows:
    Firefox 1.5
    Firefox 2
    IE6
    IE7
    Opera 7.20
    Opera 8.53
    Opera 9.01

If you're using any of these browsers and you see something that doesn't look good (i.e. bad text formatting) that I might have overlooked, please let me know.

The theme is simple and perhaps a bit too colorful, so you've been warned :)

    Thanks!

  2. Congrats! It is a simple and colourful theme that displays well in firefox 2.0.0.2 :)

  3. nice! (also FF 2.0.0.2)

  4. Thank you for your replies!

    Best!

  5. Looks good in IE6 as well; very lively. Maybe carrying some red down the page in underlines or something small could keep the visual energy from the header going as you scroll down? Just a suggestion; it's a good-looking theme.

  6. Thank for the suggestion, raincoaster. Greatly appreciated.

    Edit: yes, it's me... devblog

  7. Strange, loads the wp.com main page when I try it.

Worked fine yesterday in Netscape 7.2 when I viewed it. Didn't fully check it out so I wouldn't call that an acceptance for that browser yet.

  8. Thanks drmike, I changed the privacy properties because I'm looking at other areas of the blog that may need improvements, that's why you couldn't access it this morning. I changed it back to public if you want to try again.

Please, let me know how it looks in Netscape 7.2 (on windows, right?) so I can add it to my compatibility list.

    Thanks, I appreciate it.

EDIT: Hmm, seems like something got messed up, so I bet it won't display well for you... or anyone who visits the blog now. It was fine yesterday and I haven't touched anything in the code. Perhaps is Marks fault? :)

EDIT 2: It seems the culprit is the smiley, cause it only happens on the front page... hmmm...

  9. EDIT 3:

My bad, it was totally my fault. While testing, I added a <div> tag in the latest post which I forgot to remove. Now the front page looks good.
