My WordPress Theme changes color everyday!!Help!

  1. Are there any reason why the theme that I chose suddenly decided to change color whenever it feels like it? This has never happened before until about couple days ago. It's getting annoying. Please advise!

I am wondering if this is the way WordPress try to force to go Premium?

    Anyone/?

The blog I need help with is theorientnomad.wordpress.com.

  2. We enabled a few color options for some of our free themes, http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2013/12/04/awesome-theme-options/ and there was a bug that overrode some of our users' color settings. That issue has been sorted out now.

If you're still experiencing trouble with this, go to the Customize option for your blog, https://mhilariusfotografie.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php and under Colors, select the Default button in the top right, and then save that change at the bottom of that menu. That should restore your colors, but you may need to reset your background image. http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/color-palette-is-changing-almost-everyday?replies=2#post-1547553

  3. P.S. I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up just in case what's in that copy and paste does not sort your issue out for you.

  4. i cant seem to do it. please help!

Actually, it's the opposite! The update was made in preparation to update more themes with free color palettes. Only a few themes have them so far though (check out Appearance > Customize > Colors in the Writr preview), and it might a little time for more to get added. But they will!

In your case, I think the colors changing was due to a bug (that we've fixed now) but some color settings got "stuck" in your blog. That happened to a few people, and I'm working through the forums to try to find all the cases and help fix them.

I took a look at https://theorientnomad.wordpress.com/ and set the colors back to what I think are the right ones. Could you take a look now and let me know if it looks as expected?

  6. Yes, thank you. It's back to the default color scheme. Thank you so much for everyone's help!

    Ah :D
That's why I suddenly found circles.
I'm so not the brightest bunny in the box; took me ages to figure out how they worked. Think I need to subscribe to WordPress latest doings blog :D

  8. By the way, I just noticed that the widgets in the footer of my blog are all messy and in odd sizes. It isn't as how it used to be.
    Another bug??

  9. @orientnomad, I looked at your widgets but I can't tell what might be different since I didn't see them before. I do see that the widgets in the Chunk theme are arranged in a grid, so if you added or removed or rearranged any of them, or if you changed themes and changed back and had to adjust widgets at all, or if some of the content inside one (or some) of the widgets changed in height, then any of those things could account for a change.

    Did you try rearranging them?

  10. it seem ok again the next day. All good. Thanks again for all the help.
