myfreecopyright.com, need help protecting blog

  1. When I go to myfreecopyright.com it asks for my address when I select blog/podcast. I tried entering my web address to the main page and tried adding /feed to the end. Am I doing this correctly? It tells me "Can't read the Site Feed Url entered. The Url must be an RSS or Atom Feed."

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

  2. the url should look this yoursite.wordpress.com/feed/

    (-->/feed/<--)

  3. Did that, did not work.

  4. The problem with myfreecopyright.com is that you have to leave your feed to show the entire post and not use the more tag so that they can capture your entire post. Putting up your entire post in a feed is inviting sploggers to scrape it, post it to their site and surround it with 5,573 google ads.

    Myfreecopyright is a good idea, but it introduces more problems than it solves.

  5. Any good alternatives? I know of one (forgot name) but it allows anyone to share your content but under certain conditions. I am looking for a free way. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Some may say it is over protective but I always like extra security and assurance that my work will remain mine.

  6. Just noticed to that I have had it set to full, but that is useless info now that I need a new way of protection.

  7. Copyscape?

  8. Here are some explanations and options:

  9. Any good alternatives? I know of one (forgot name) but it allows anyone to share your content but under certain conditions. I am looking for a free way.

    try http://www.creativecommons.org

    it's free. you can choose under which conditions you want others to share information.

    hope this helps!

  10. My understanding is that since February, even if you use the more tag your entire post is available thru the RSS feed. Does this make us more vulnerable to scrapers, as thesacredpath suggests?
