Need a picture that redirects to another site on the blog

  1. I need to put a picture that redirects to another site on the blog. I have done it, but I am told that when they open up to approve the blog they have to see the redirect button immediately without scrolling down. I can not figure out how to make it higher than the sidebar?? Is there any way to do this?

The blog I need help with is lottascents.wordpress.com.

  2. What is the picture linking to? Why does it have to be linked to an external site at all? Is it advertising?

  3. There is only one advertising program called WordAds at WordPress.com and it’s for blogs on their own domains. Aside from a blog being accepted into WordAds http://www.wordads.co/ no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work or products created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted wordpress.com blogs.

E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by WordPress.com. Affiliate marketing blogs, paid content and/or sponsored content are not allowed.

On free hosted WordPress.com blog we can use a contact form and/or a PayPal donation button for sale of only products or services created or provided by ourselves.

There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that changes any of that. If you do require an ecommerce site, advertising, affiliate links, paid or sponsored content you can hire a web host and get a free software install from http://wordpress.org
    Refer to > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
    and http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/

  4. I am an independent consultant with Scentsy and they said for me to have the website I needed to have a corporate redirect button that was visible on the blog. I have it on there, but they said that it is in the wrong place. But, I can not move it anywhere. But, if I can not do this with the free one, then I will just delete the blog. No biggie. I just have to stay in compliance with Scentsy.

  5. There is no upgrade you can purchase from WordPress.com that allows you to set up an affiliate marketing blog to dive traffic to that site. Doing that is a breach of the WordPress.com Terms of Service. You need to hire a web host that permits affiliate marketing blogs and set up your own self hosted WordPress.ORG install.

  6. Ok. Thank you.

  7. Hooray! You understand me now. Your blog content is not in compliance with our Terms of Service and the blog is subject to being reported and deactivated.
