Need custom domain released

  1. Hi there,

I need my custom domain, pinkpuddlelane.com released. I've transferred to godaddy and my blog is on bloodspot. http://www.pinkpuddlelane.com works fine, but pinkpuddlelane.com is still redirecting to pinkpuddlelane.wordpress.com. I don't want to change my nameservers to anything wordpress. I just want to take wordpress out of the equation altogether, since I have godaddy and blogger. Can someone on staff help?

The blog I need help with is pinkpuddlelane.wordpress.com.

  2. Yes Staff will be able to help you. This thread is flagged for their attention.

  3. Wow, that was fast! Thank you so much!

  4. You're welcome. Please be paient while waiting for a Staff response.

  5. Hi again,

I'm not sure what just happened. I was editing my blog on blogger, all was well. I could still see my blog at http://www.pinkpuddlelane.com. Then all of a sudden, both http://www.pinkpuddlelane.com and pinkpuddlelane.com are redirecting to pinkpuddlelane.wordpress.com. I'm guessing maybe staff is trying to resolve the issue from my first post and things will be better tomorrow?

  6. http://www.pinkpuddlelane.com/ is redirecting to Blogger.

When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about "redirect errors". Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.
