Need to be able to post for non-wordpress users

  1. I'm the admin and I am having to upload posts from other authors (basically, cut and past text from word docs) who do not have wordpress accounts. I still need to make their posts show up as authored by them, not me. I also need them to appear as authors in the right nav. Is there a way to do this, and make it look like they posted to the site?

  2. No there's no way that an author byline is going to be provided by the theme for people who do not have WordPress.com accounts and who are not official authors on the blog.

  3. I suppose you could enter their names on the first line of every post but that won't make your byline evaporate. You could also create a category under each name. However, the best course of action is to make them official users ie. Authors of the blog.

  4. Thanks, timethief. Saved me a lot of time trying to go down to what would be a dead end. Have a good day.

  5. You're welcome and I hope you have a great day too. :)
