Need to remove followers

    Hello,

    I can not find a way to delete my followers or at least disable their email notification of my new posts. The reason I want to remove them is because I invited all my clients but realized that I am going to be posting a lot more frequently than I originally planned. I don't want to bother my clients with all these emails but instead email them myself when there are specific posts I would like them to see. Can someone please help?

    We cannot block or delete any subscribers. They themselves control how frequently they receive the updates from blogs they subscribe to.
    This is the page they do that on http://wordpress.com/#!/read/edit/
    Get new posts by email
    Never
    Instantly
    Daily
    Weekly

    Can a WordPress staff employee delete them for me? As of now I see my only solution as shutting down the blog and then starting up a new one...

    It's not possible to remove followers. The followers can disable the notifications themselves. You can easily create a new blog at http://wordpress.com/signup

    Can all of my current content and settings be easily transfered over to a new blog, and would I be able to use the same name again as well?

    Note that deleted blog URLs cannot be recycled.

    Note that we cannot prevent anyone from subscribing to the RSS feed on a public blog. If you create another public blog anyone can follow it. Assuming that the follower(s) you want to delete are in the least clued in they will search and find your new blog and subscribe to it again.
