I've scrolled through other folks' questions, and I believe "nesting" is getting close to what I need help on... Brand new blogger here...
I visualized a blog where I could have daily posts, kinda like journal entries, and I could also have a place to click on that would take a visitor to a selection of poetry, stories, whatever.
I thought that I could have a parent page, in this case "Creative Sparks," and underneath would be multiple pages each containing a poem. I tried that with two poems each having Creative Sparks as parent, but clicking on the Creative Sparks page did not reveal the existence of pages underneath that...
I read something about a page widget, and I guess that would work...
I also saw someone being advised to use categories to sort out a similar issue.
But it would be neat to have a drop down menu, or even something similar to blog entries where you would click on the year and you'd get the individual months and the posts made in those months...
Any advice? Best practices?
