   I'm still working on putting my blog together and am curious. Does my pages have to be public for me to nest pages? I've switched my theme several time, including ones that after reading scads of support about, were 'nesting' friendly.
   This blog is for a publishing house and they don't want all the data to be on four or five pages. They'd like to have nested pages where people can go look at different genres of books etc.

   Any tips or pointers is greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks.

   First, let's be clear on the differences between Static Pages meant to be used for content that rarely, if ever, changes and posts.

   I'm not clear about what you mean by "nesting" applied to pages.

   I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but posts can be organized in a Book form with an index page as the front page...

   perhaps this might give you some ideas for organization
