Usually there would be groups and such where you can bring traffic to your blog depending on what kind of group it was and topic but all the searching and features not noticing right away is like... "totally a lot to take in"

Groups ... where you can bring traffic to your blog - We do not have groups at wordpress.com. We do have a forum you can Showcase your blog in http://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/showcase and we have a thread in the Off-Topic forum for a similar purpose http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/what-did-you-post-in-your-blog-today?replies=9988
