New category won't show up on my main page

    Hello.
I added a new category to our blog, http://bearriverhomestead.com, back in Jan. but I can't seem to get it to appear on the main page. It should appear under the Parent category, "The Homestead" as a drop down but it doesn't.

It shows up in my Dashboard and so far, I've assigned 6 posts to it. If you go to our Archive page, you can see it listed under Categories and when you click on it, it takes you to the posts created so far but it just doesn't show up on our main blog page as a drop down under, The Homestead.

The new category is called, "Evie".
Am I missing something? My other categories were created almost two years ago so maybe I've just forgotten?

The blog I need help with is bearriverhomestead.com.

  2. Your other categories are displayed on your top navigation bar, presumably as part of a custom menu.

You could simply add a category widget to your sidebar to automatically show all cats, or you could edit your custom menu:

Thank you. I have it now.
What I was missing on my Menu page was the Categories box. The Page box was there though.
At some point as WordPress has updated their site, they added that "Screen Options" tab at the top of the pages within the Dashboard.
Once I opened that, I checked the Categories box and it added it to my Menu page so I was able to add, "Evie" to my navigation bar.

Thank you again 1tess. I appreciate your response!
