I'm keeping a journal about "Living with Nature in the Blue Ridge" and would really appreciate any suggestions or critique of my blog. Be kind - I'm new at this and have lots to learn. My ultimate goal is to publish an eBook on the same subject and this blog is my searchable journal to help me write the book. Thanks!

I think the blacked out name either means adult/mature content or the person is off line. Mine means the former. :)
Can still access a blog by clicking the word 'member' under the name here, it brings up their wp website address.
I had a look, like your theme, but felt sad when you described the first little bird there as 'nondescript' :( made me not want to read any further, sorry.
I would make the nature pictures larger if that's ok to say.
Birders use the term nondescript to distinguish birds of 'lesser color' from those that are more distinguishable, such as the cardinal, but your point is taken. Phoebes are one of my favorite birds because of their habit of building their nests in doorways and other public places where they can be easily observed. Anyway, I appreciate your comments and I will make the pictures larger!
