  7. @missclhaden20
Where I can see your pay scale for writers?

  8. @missclhaden20
Unless there is a BlogTitle entered here > Settings > General your blog content will not be indexed by the search spiders and will not appear in search engine page results.

If you have not already done this then set up a Google Webmasters account and verify ownership of your blog with the big search engines. http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools

  9. @missclhaden20
Also note that wordpress.com allows only original content blogs. Duplicate content blogs are not allowed. So if you intend to post for example ezine articles that have already been published elsewhere on the wordpress.com blog then that will be immediately problematic (ToS violation).

Here's more from Google on duplicate content

in some cases, content is deliberately duplicated across domains in an attempt to manipulate search engine rankings or win more traffic. Deceptive practices like this can result in a poor user experience, when a visitor sees substantially the same content repeated within a set of search results. http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66359

  10. Ok I get everything you have said except the last post? What do you mean by original content? All my blogs and articles done by me and copyrighted to me therefore they have not been copied off anyone else. Or do you mean this particular post, is it posted somewhere else in the forums section as I am not aware of this if so.

  11. You don't HAVE any original content on that blog; unless you get some quickly, you could be in trouble. All it has is one bio/intro page and a list of articles you have on another website. Sites whose whole purpose is to direct traffic to another site are subject to suspension.

Sites whose content is just articles that have been published elsewhere are equally subject to penalties.

Until your site has actual content on it, it looks like it's in violation of the first of these.

  12. Also, even if you wrote the articles, if they're just copies of stuff posted elsewhere, staff request that you set the blog to Private. if you don't, it might be suspended, but worse, search engines will penalize both it and the site on which the content first appeared, classing them both as spammers.

  13. Ok yes I understand that and I will get rid of the direct links to to other sites - but how am i suppose to show case my published work with magazines? Hence why I set up a blog so that I can show others where I am writing, As for the comment on orignal content on my blog, if you look under the sections of lifestyle, beauty, dating etc - these are all my thoughts on particular subjects and do not cross with any magazines that I have wrote for.

However, the above is noted - and I will make sure I change it

  14. And I'm curious how this effects other blogs that are link to it, such as blogroll links?
