   Hi, first, I'm not a web designer by no means, but I created a couple of WP sites for mine and my wife's businesses:

   http://www.melodicwaveproductions.com

   http://www.recycledheartministries.com

   At first I used the free .wordpress.com sites. I submitted them to google webmaster and had no problem fetching and submitting to index.

   After several months I recently purchased the domains above through WP.

   Now google will not fetch. I get the following error:

   Googlebot couldn't crawl this URL because it points to a non-existent page. Generally, 404s don't harm your site's performance in search, but you can use them to help improve the user experience.

   At any rate, I have a static page as a home page and a few additional pages on each site. I use the Modularity Lite themes for both. I contacted WP and they tell me my sites are in order and that I should contact google, and that is an impossible task as they don't return emails. I also installed the old theme that I used previously and still no fetch.

   I was hoping someone has experienced this problem and would give me some advice. I'm not familiar with an FTP Client, but could follow step by step instructions to use it.

   The blog I need help with is melodicwaveproductions.com.

   Part of your problem is that you have the URLs wrong.

   There is no "www" in either of those URLs. Resubmit the correct URLs and see what happens.

   Thanks, tried that already. With or without the WWW google opens the same home page, yet they say that it is pointing to a page that doesn't exist. What is strange is that all was good until the past few days. WP suggested that I use a ststic page and now all is crazy. Bummer.

   I will also add that both of my sites are now having this problem as I added the static page to both. I then went back to using the blog as my home page, but that doesn't even work for google webmaster now. AWEEE>>>>

   Update

   My domain is http://www.melodicwaveproductions.com

   If I enter the domain into google webmaster this way:

   http://www.melodicwaveproductions.wordpress.com

   It fetches fine and points to the http://www.melodicwaveproductions.com domain.

   I will try this for a while and report my findings in case someone else is having this problem.

   Both these URLs take me to the same site just as one would expect:
   http://melodicwaveproductions.com
   http://melodicwaveproductions.wordpress.com

   melodic,

   You are not alone. I created a blog entry this morning. Typically, Google insta-indexes my posts. Today however, it's been like 6 hours and still no Google crawl. All other search engines are fine.

   Also, I tried getting GoogleBot to hit the page and it just keeps pending and pending.

   Something is definitely broken somewhere.
