Packagethief (aka Jeffrey Allan Hardy) has created an awesome theme called 'Scribbish', it's a simple, clean theme that just looks beautiful.
It is already available to use on WordPress, just not for those hosting their blogs through wordpress.com :(
I can provide all the relevant information should any mods require it.
