   Hi all,

   I'm new to WordPress and really like the look of it. My friends and I are going on a trip and I wanted to set up a site for us to chat pre & post about the trip. We all live in different parts of the country and world, so I thought this would be perfect. Unfortunately my friends are not very computer literate so it has to be simple.
   My questions:
   * Is there an easy way for me to add all my friends to allow them to contribute? I prefer not to send them through some registration process – I just wanna add them (email address & password)?
   * Can we easily add links and pictures and other media items?
   * Can this be done? Only my friends should be able to contribute but anyone is allowed to post comments

   you can add any sort of links, as long as it's not advertisements.

   BUT is there anyway I can add my friends without them having to sign-up - They hate things like that and are not very computer literate - besides the sign-up page focuses more on sigining up for a new blog.
   Can I upload pictures and video clips to the site too?

   you could always do the sign-up process for them, assuming you know all the pertinent information. It also sounds like it might be worth your time to browse through the FAQ:

   That would be too easy to abuse by spammers. If you want an example, post your email address. I'll be happy to add you into a couple thousand email lists. :)
