i want to add a new widget to my homepage for newsletter sign up for constant contact emails -- and I've seen some explanations on how to do it but i don't totally understand how to add it to my page. one says to add html code-- which i can't figure out how to do and another says to upload a file from constant contact which i also can't do.
any help on this?

You can add html code with the text widget.
Note: Text Widgets fall under the same code security restrictions that posts and pages do, so if you use any code that isn’t allowed, it won’t be displayed.
