NextGen Galleries with multiple author and capabilities plugin

  1. Thanks in advance for taking the time to read and maybe help with my issue. I am New to wordpress and Currently using wordpress to host more or less a photogallery website with nextgen. I have multiple friends that i would like to restrict their access to nextgen galleries. I have discovered that using capabilities pluggin i'm able to create a roles for my friends that limit them to their own "authored" nextgen galleries but what i would like to be able to is have 2 people have the same management capability to the same gallery. The only way i' have found is to give access to manage other's galleries to one of the users but then that user has access to all galleries and thats not what i want. It seems if i could either make a group of these two users and then make that group the author it would work or if i could just add additional authors to that gallery then that would work as well. the later seeming to be the easer fix. However, i don't know if i can do that or if it can be done. hopefull that makes sense and maybe i'm looking at this completely wrong anyways.

The blog I need help with is amoutdoors.wordpress.com.

  2. The blog linked to your WordPress.com username is devoid of content. This usually when with questions about plugins is an indication that the person posting has posted to the wrong support forum for their software. Here we provide support only for free blogs being free hosted by WordPress.com all other must post to http://wordpress.ORG/support/

There is no FTP access to free hosted wordpress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins or any themes into them

If you wish to have complete control over a blog, the ability to upload themes and plugins, and to edit themes and templates then your option is to hire a web host and get a free software install from wordpress.ORG and self host it.

  3. My apologies I have posted in your suggested location... you are right that blog is devoid of content as I run my wordpress site from my own machine out of my house with full control. I merely created the log in to get help on the issue in my post. I feel one woudln't need to see the site to be able to help, but as you so kindly pointed out i posted in the wrong location. I have corrected and Thanks for the help

  4. Ass all WordPress.org users who use the stats or Akismet plugins on their installs need a WordPress.com blog to get their API keys when we see an empty Word-press.com blog we suspect the blogger may be posting to the wrong forum. You're welcome and best wishes.
