No "Category" Option On Home Page Quick Post

    Just wondering if the developers noticed there is no way to assign a post to a category on the home page "Quick Post." Was this done intentionally?

    Posting from the home page using this feature only leaves the post under "Uncategorized" which reduces traffic and bungles up sorting by category. We can add tags when posting from here, so there is no reason we should not be able to assign a category. This option needs to be made available for the Quick Post.

    The blog I need help with is lifeinpawprints.wordpress.com.

    I could be wrong but I believe they are aware and that this is a deliberate choice. I never ever post there at all. I log into my own blog's dashboard and I post only by using the "Add new" link in my blog's dashboard.
